How To Book

We book charters directly by phone and email and online.

This keeps schedules flexible, allows us to match trips to conditions, and ensures you’re speaking with the people who will be on the water with you.

Charter Prices/Rates

Per-Person Daily Rate
$533 - including tax and your Federal Halibut Stamp (required)

Private Boat Charters (up to 6 guests)

Atlas — $2,763 + tax
Fish Hawk — $2,763 + tax

All private charters include the full boat for your group. No mixed parties.

Payments & Deposits

  • 50% deposit required to book
  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Balance due 90 days before the charter
  • Online bookings require full payment at time of booking.

What You’re Booking

Fish N’ Chips Charters runs six-pack boats only — a maximum of six guests per trip.

That means:

  • More space
  • More flexibility
  • More crew attention
  • A better fishing day

Half-day and full-day trips are available aboard the Atlas and Fish Hawk.

Departure Details

Trips depart from Kodiak St. Paul Harbor in downtown Kodiak.

Standard departure time is 6:00 a.m. Exact timing may change due to weather, tides, or fish movement. We’ll confirm details before your trip.

Before Your Trip

The day before your charter, please call (907) 539-6135 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to:

  • Confirm departure time
  • Review conditions
  • Receive last-minute updates

2026 Federal Halibut Regulations

Beginning January 1, 2026, a Federal Halibut Stamp is required for halibut fishing.

A $20 halibut stamp fee is included in the $533 charter price..

Alaska sport fishing licenses and King Salmon stamps (must have) are regulated by the State of Alaska and can be purchased through Alaska Fish & Game here.

Equipment

All rods, reels, tackle, and fishing gear are provided.

Lost equipment policy: Dropping a rod overboard carries a $600 replacement fee.

Cancellation Policy

  • All sales are final.
  • If you find a replacement for your spot, you’ll receive a full refund
  • If Fish N’ Chips Charters cancels due to weather, you may reschedule or receive a full refund
